Ask BondiByte: The Assistant on Every Page | BondiByte
Ask BondiByte

Ask a question about BondiByte, and get a straight answer.

Looking at operations software usually means filling in a form and waiting for someone to call you back. Most of the questions people actually have are not worth a meeting: what does this part do, what does a plan cost, what would we have to set up first, and is this even built for an organisation our size.

Ask BondiByte sits on every page of this website. Open it, ask in your own words, and it answers from BondiByte's own published material, with links to the page or guide the answer came from. When it does not know, it says so and offers to put you in touch with a person.

Talk to a person

You will find it as a small Ask BondiByte button in the corner of every page, including this one.

  1. Open Ask BondiByte
  2. Ask in your own words
  3. Read the answer, with the pages it came from
  4. Follow a link, or ask the next question

What people ask it.

Every page suggests a few starting questions relevant to what you are reading, and you can ignore them and ask your own.

What the platform actually does

Feature questions, answered without a demo booking.

  • What a feature does, in plain terms
  • Whether BondiByte handles a particular part of your operation
  • How two areas connect, such as rostering and timesheets
  • What managers keep control of, and what is automated

Pricing and plans

The commercial questions people ask first.

  • What each plan includes
  • How the staff allowance works, and what happens if you go over it
  • What Automation Capacity is and what uses it
  • Which plans come with a free trial
  • Enterprise pricing is not published anywhere, and is always arranged with BondiByte directly

Getting set up

What the first fortnight looks like.

  • What to set up first, and in what order
  • What you need ready before you start
  • Which setup guide covers the thing you are stuck on
  • Common mistakes worth avoiding

Whether it suits your organisation

An honest read on fit, before you invest time.

  • Describe your size, services and how you operate
  • Talk through the parts you would use and the parts you would not
  • Understand where BondiByte is a fit and where it is not
  • Get pointed to a conversation when the answer needs a person
Where the answers come from

Grounded in what BondiByte has published, not in guesswork.

Answers are drawn from BondiByte's own published material: these product pages, the setup guides, and the current plan and pricing information. An answer usually arrives with the sources behind it, so you can open the page and read the detail yourself rather than taking a chat window's word for it.

Where the next step is obvious, the answer offers it: the relevant guide, the pricing page, a free trial, or a conversation with the team. Nothing is hidden behind the assistant that is not also on the site.

Cited, not invented. Always a link to check.

Good questions to start with

Typed exactly like this, in your own words.

  • What does BondiByte do?
  • Which plan might suit us?
  • How does Smart Rostering work?
  • What is Automation Capacity?
  • How does additional staff pricing work?
  • What can staff do in the mobile app?
  • What should I set up first?
  • Where do I find setup guides?

What it is, and what it is not.

Assistants get oversold. This one has a narrow job, and it is better to be clear about the edges of it than to let anyone find out the hard way.

What it does
What it does not do
Answers questions about BondiByte from BondiByte's own published material
Does not search the wider internet, and cannot look anything up outside BondiByte
Explains what a feature does and links you to the page or guide behind the answer
Does not act on your behalf, change anything, or make a decision for you
Helps you think about which plan suits an organisation your size
Does not replace a proper commercial conversation, and Enterprise pricing is always arranged with BondiByte directly
Hands you to the BondiByte team when a question needs a person
Is not a replacement for talking to us, and never pretends to be a person
Is a guide to one product
Is not a general purpose assistant, and not the place for participant or personal information

What happens to what you type.

Your conversation

It stays with you.

  • Kept in your own browser for the session
  • Not kept by BondiByte as long-term chat history
  • Start over clears it whenever you want

What we learn from it

Only enough to make the answers better.

  • A question it could not answer may be kept for up to 90 days
  • Contact details and identifying numbers are removed first
  • Used to improve what the assistant knows, nothing else

What we measure

Usage, not content.

  • Events such as the assistant being opened
  • Not the text of your questions or its answers
  • Please keep participant, health and client information out of it

The full detail is in the Privacy Policy. If a question involves real participant, health or client information, please contact us instead of typing it into the assistant.

Already a customer

Useful after you sign up, not just before.

The same assistant is here when you are mid-setup and cannot remember whether sites come before staff, or which guide covers pay levels. It knows how the product is meant to be set up, so it can point you at the right written steps in a few seconds.

It does not have access to your workspace, your data or your records, and it cannot see or change anything in your account. For anything specific to your organisation, your own workspace and the BondiByte team are the right place to go.

When to ask a person instead

Some things should not go through a chat window.

  • Anything involving a real participant or worker
  • Enterprise pricing and contract terms
  • Migrating data from your current system
  • Security or procurement review questions
  • Anything urgent

Ask first. Book a demo when you are ready.
