Preview the app as any user.

Owners and admins can preview the workspace exactly as another user's role and permissions render it, read-only, for users at or below their own role level.

View-as read-only preview

What you get with View-as (read-only preview).

  • Faithful role and permission preview

Preview the app exactly as another user's role renders it, so support sees what they see.

  • Read-only and audited

The preview can't change anything and is fully logged, so it's safe and accountable.

  • One-click exit

Drop back to your own view instantly whenever you're done.

Why it exists

The problem it solves.

"It's not showing for me" is one of the most common support moments inside any team. Working out what a coordinator or office admin actually sees usually means borrowed passwords, screenshots over the phone, or guesswork. View-as gives owners and admins a safe, honest way to see the workspace exactly as that person does, without touching their account.

How it works

1

Pick the person

An owner or admin chooses any active user in the workspace to preview, no password sharing and no interruption to that person.

2

The workspace switches to their view

The preview applies the exact same role and permission rules as that person's own sign-in, so the pages, menus and records you see are precisely what they see.

3

Read-only is enforced, not promised

While a preview is active, every change is blocked on the server. There is no way to edit, delete or submit anything as the other person.

4

You always know you are previewing

A persistent banner shows who you are viewing as, with a single Exit button that returns you to your own view instantly.

5

Every session is recorded

Each preview is logged with who previewed whom and when, and previews expire on their own if left open.

What you can do.

Preview any user at or below your level

See the workspace as a manager, coordinator or staff member sees it, exactly as their permissions render it.

Faithful to their permissions

The preview uses the same access rules as a real sign-in, so what you see is genuinely what they get.

One-click exit

Drop back to your own view instantly from the always-visible banner.

Self-expiring sessions

A preview left open ends itself, so read-only access never lingers.

No password sharing, ever

The whole point: support and troubleshooting without anyone handing over credentials.

How it connects.

  1. A user reports something they cannot see
  2. Preview the workspace as them
  3. Adjust their roles and permissions
  4. Staff-facing checks use view-as-staff
  5. Sessions logged under BondiByte security

You stay in control.

Owner and Admin only

Only your most senior workspace roles can start a preview; nobody else has the capability at all.

Seniority guard

You can only preview users at or below your own level, so an Admin can never look through the Owner's eyes.

Write-blocked at the source

The read-only rule is enforced on the server for every request, not just greyed-out buttons.

Fully audited

Every preview session is recorded, so use of the capability is always accountable.

Frequently asked questions.

Can a preview change or delete anything?

No. While a preview is active every change action is rejected on the server. It is view-only by enforcement, not by convention.

Is the person being previewed interrupted?

No. Their account, sign-in and sessions are untouched. The preview runs entirely in the admin's own browser.

Can an admin use this to see what the owner sees?

No. Previews only work for users at or below your own access level, so more senior accounts are off limits by design.

Is there a record of who used it?

Yes. Every session is logged with the person previewing, the person previewed and the time, and sessions expire on their own.

Do we need the other person's password?

No, and that is the point. View-as exists so credentials never need to be shared for troubleshooting.
